The purpose of the Office Manager is to oversee the workings of the church office, the operation of the church management database system and to keep the day-to-day operations at Expression 58 organized and clear.
- Job Requirements:
Ø Manage the church office.
Ø Build, lead and maintain a team of office volunteers.
Ø Offer a knowledgeable presence during office hours.
Ø Check, respond and relay phone and email messages to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner.
Ø Distribute mail to staff and departments. Also responsible for shipping/receiving packages to/from the office.
Ø Manage the flow of office supplies and monthly print projects placing orders, as needed.
Ø Facilitate and schedule building usage in conjunction with staff.
Ø Maintain the rights and sharing permissions of the Master Calendar and Google drive access while also updating and communicating updates to the master church calendar and room reservations document.
Ø Assist the Senior Bookkeeper/HR Director in processing AccountReceivables.
Ø Manage and update communication (events, announcements) to the E58 community through all necessary channels. (CCB, updating website,etc.)
Ø Must submit to a background check.
Ø The Office Manager works to alert staff as to what’s needed operationally for the organization to run smoothly.
Ø Manage office resources to support staff projects.
Ø Oversee the church database (CCB) and its use:
1.Be intimately familiar with how data is entered and stored. This includes overseeing data consistency/integrity in regard to how existing data is entered and how new information should be captured.
2.Act as the point person for proactively updating attendee status changes and life events (births, deaths, marriages, household splits, etc.) as well as other ongoing maintenance tasks.
3.Be proficient in running reports to help ministries extract information. Many reports are generated in a spreadsheet format, so Microsoft Excel skills are required for some advanced reporting.
4.Work with ministry areas to maximize the system's usefulness to those ministries and makingrecommendations for efficient use of the system by all staff members.
5.Act as the first point of contact for staff members in need of assistance using the church management system.
Ø Under the Pastoral Staff’s direction, oversee the management and maintenance of all official records and files of the church (including legal documents, tax matters, contracts, major purchases, service agreements, warranties, etc.).
Ø The Office Manager plays a vital role in weekly staff meetings and helps communicate information pertaining to the church calendar, building usage, and other relevant information.
Ministry Strategy Responsibilities
Ø The Office Manager is an integral part of E58’s leadership team. They will work in conjunction with the staff team in the yearly review of church ministries and overall church strategy.
Ø The Office Manager is available as a resource to the volunteer leaders to help facilitate as able.

➢Willingness to devote time throughout the year developing their skills in leadership and ministry, developing character, and sharpening their knowledge and understanding in ministering to people while fulfilling the role as OfficeManager.
➢Honest and ongoing feedback. Deliberate and meaningful conversations with the Director of Operations on at least a monthly basis on the operations of the church. An annual evaluation of the Office Manager will occur through the Director of Operations.
