We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager with a passionate desire to use their gifts to serve the Kingdom. If you are a skilled and gifted Accountant who loves numbers, details, and financial reporting, we would love to hear from you.

Bethel Accounting Team serves the accounting and financial reporting needs of Bethel Church.

Job Requirements:

As Accounting Manager you will be:

  • Managing the day-to-day accounting operations and leading the monthly close cycle
  • Maintaining a system of internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the accurate reporting of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Performing ongoing detailed analysis of transactions and financial data
  • Preparing financials statements and internal management reports
  • Review, research and document complex accounting transactions, changes and developments
  • Leading team members in personal and professional development
  • Supporting ministry and department leaders with information, tools and training resources
  • Recommending new processes and workflows that increase operational efficiency
Highly Desired:
  • A CPA or CPA candidate
  • At least 5 years full-cycle accounting experience
  • 2-3 years’ audit-assurance experience
  • 2-3 years’ non-profit accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of non-profit legal and compliance
  • Advanced understanding of accounting systems and technology
  • A problem solver and a critical thinker who enjoys accounting
  • An effective leader with a passion for personal development
  • An individual with an exceptional degree of personal and professional integrity
  • Exceptionally organized and highly efficient with personal time management
  • Known for having excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Naturally self-motivated and able to work independently and successfully as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes and take on new responsibilities as the organization grows
  • Good, solid, dry sense of humor is a plus
