Worship Arts Pastor for Fellowship Christian Church
The core responsibility of the Worship Arts Pastor is to direct and lead the congregation and worship/production team in worshiping God.
·Spirit-filled believer living a spiritually disciplined life – prayer, Bible study, fellowship and evangelism.
·In agreement with Fellowship Church’s doctrinal beliefs, culture values, and vision.
·Willing to submit to Fellowship’s head pastor and elders
·Musically proficient- strong singing voice and able to play at least one instrument
·Has the ability to lead a band and arrange music to fit musicians’ abilities
·Has a basic understanding of sound systems
·Has a Bachelor’s degree or worship school certificate
·Has at least 4 years’ experience serving in a primary worship leader role
Worship Director Responsibilities:
·Lead and/or staff worship teams for all weekend services; as well as 4-6 special serves a year. This includes scheduling musicians, providing song lists if leading, and leading the worship/singing portion of the service.
·Meet with other worship leaders on a regular basis seeking together God’s vision and direction for helping the congregation and team to grow as worshippers; also encouraging each other to grow as spirit-led leaders and musicians.
·Conduct spiritual and musical training throughout the year for the entire team.
·Find, test and teach new songs with the help of other worship leaders. This includes charting, mapping, loading MP3 audio to Planning Center
·Identify, recruit and audition new members for the band.
·Identify and develop potential leaders providing training, mentoring and support.
·Facilitate training, leading, and encouragement of children and youth worship teams.
·Schedule audio and media volunteers for all worship services
·Facilitate training and spend consistent time encouraging and cultivating vision for audio and media volunteers.
·Recruit volunteers for audio and media teams
·Provide red chair leadership to a team that researches, acquires and/or provides maintenance for equipment for sound, lighting and video.
